Harry is an energetic session guitarist currently playing in a variety of different bands and duo’s playing in pubs/clubs, corporate and wedding functions around Sydney. Originally starting out on tenor sax and moving to guitar, Harry has been playing guitar for 15+ years and has been teaching guitar for over 10 years in schools and privately. Having recently studied a Bachelor of Music at the University of New South Wales majoring in performance (jazz guitar) and also holding diploma of Sound Production from tafe.
During his time at UNSW he was involved in many different ensembles such as latin band, choir, Sandy Evans jazz big band and classical guitar ensemble. The past few years he has toured Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide playing guitar in the 5 piece band Brewster Brothers Angels & Demons show. Currently working on an album, he has also been involved in writing music and licensing his compositions for short films, tv & promotional videos as well also achieving finalist in the APRA 2013 Tropscore competition.
Drawing on his inspiration for music from many different styles and eras such as mowtown, old school r&b, soul, jazz/blues and rock, some of his influences include; The Beatles, Bob Dylan, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, Pink Floyd, John Mayer and many more. With an array of performance experience, combined with a depth of knowledge in music, Harry brings a well rounded perspective to teaching guitar.
